GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING

It is an entrance exam held annually in India for admission to postgraduate programmes in the science and technology sector. 

In India, thousands of students choose to appear for this exam because of its reputation as a challenging yet rewarding test. The GATE Exam is designed to assess students' knowledge and understanding of undergraduate engineering and science subjects.

Eligibility for GATE exam :

10+2+3 is the required minimum education for applicants. Additionally, students who have completed their undergraduate degree programme or are in their third year of study may register for the GATE admission exam. In the past, candidates could only apply to one subject or discipline.

Importance of GATE Exam -

 Every year, lakhs of engineering students graduate from universities and colleges across India. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ( GATE Exam ) sets a benchmark for these engineers as it tests the comprehensive understanding of the students in various engineering concepts.

Is GATE online offline :

The GATE Exam 2023 will be held in CBT(Computer-Based Test) mode. In the past years, the exam was conducted in offline mode, but in 2011 onwards, the mode of GATE exam was changed to being taken online completely. Candidates are allotted an exam centre according to their preference.

Attempts are in GATE :

Even though a score is only valid for three years after it is released, there is no age limit or limit on the number of attempts for GATE tests. A candidate may take the GATE examinations an unlimited number of times.

 Good score in GATE :

The candidates looking for what is a good GATE 2023 score must note that ideally, a 800+ is considered a good GATE score for admission into various courses. However, the scores vary for each branch. GATE scores are obtained by applying the normalization process
